Leviathan: Warships hands on – navigating maritime disaster in Paradox’s turnbased battler

Preview by the salty sea-dog Craig Owens

I sunk my battleships. Two of them. I’d like to tell you a story of swashbuckling, Master & Commander-rivalling derring-do here, but sadly this wasn’t a very auspicious sinking. It was right at the start of my second game of turnbased naval battler Leviathan: Warships that I made my fatal error – during the planning phase of the very first turn. I’d spent the previous round learning the ropes, guns, lasers and shields of Paradox’s rather non period-specific vessels, not to mention the layout of the map we’re battling in, and I started my second game with some clever trickery in mind. Volition unconcerned about releasing Saints Row 4 near Grand Theft Auto 5

Saints Row 4

Saints Row 4 dubstep guns and rocket-launching guitars, and it’s eyeballing an August 20 release. That sets up a scant month-long gap between it and Grand Theft Auto 5′s planned September launch, and Rockstar’s titan has both years of success and a heavy fanbase to bring to bear. Speaking to Eurogamer, Volition Producer Jim Boone says the team isn’t worried in the slightest and feels Saints Row is unique enough to stack up to its giant competitor. Continue reading

Next Xbox Will Reportedly Integrate Broadcast TV Feeds

The official reveal of the next Xbox may still be weeks away, but all signs point to Microsoft making a major play for dominance of the living room. A new report from The Verge suggests the next-gen system will be capable of integrating a user’s cable or satellite signal into a unified user interface, similar to Google TV. According to the site’s multiple sources, the console will connect to set-top boxes via HDMI and combine broadcast content with its interactive interface. Microsoft is reportedly working with content partners to offer more streamlined integration with the service.

What’s more, Kinect will play a key role in the next Xbox’s TV services. Using the motion sensor and camera, the system will be able to detect multiple users simultaneously and will intelligently control playback based on their movement. For example, if a viewer turns their head away from the TV, the Xbox will supposedly pause the video on-screen — not unlike the Smart Pause found on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4. Continue reading

HTC One

Our Review:

New HTC One smartphone is going to be the leader in the market for some time , until Samsung S4 comes along. In my opinion HTC is much better but Samsung wins due to better marketing. Feel free to read the rest of the post and you will get to know this phone better.

As HTC’s new flagship smartphone, the HTC One is packed to the rafters with top-notch components and technologies including some of the latest processing gear Qualcomm can muster. In addition to being state of the art, the successor to 2012′s HTC One X is lovingly crafted from premium metals, leaving no doubt that the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer has placed considerable blood, sweat, and tears into this handset.
